Jervois is building a commercial cobalt refinery in Salmon, Idaho, as part of its cobalt/nickel refining business; its parent, Jervois Global, is headquartered in Australia.
創業の背景
Jervoisは、コバルトとニッケルの精錬・供給を手がける企業グループである。フィンランド・コッコラのJervois Finland Operations、ブラジルのサンミゲル・パウリスタ精錬所、米国アイダホ州サーモンのIdaho Cobalt Operationsを保有し、2019年にIdaho Cobalt Operationsの鉱山を取得した。同鉱山には2億ドル超が投じられたが、現在は操業を停止している。2025年にはMillstreet Capital Managementによる資本再構成を経て、非公開の米国支配グループとなった。米国には商業規模のコバルト精錬が存在しないとして、国内精錬所の計画を進めている。
