Watercycle Technologies is a University of Manchester spinout that recovers and refines lithium from wastewater and other circular sources for use in electric vehicle batteries. The company is building a demonstration-scale manufacturing line under a project called ReLiVE. The funding supports a wider six million pound, 36 month project due to begin in April 2027.
