Cailabs and Eutelsat to explore European optical ground infrastructure and direct-to-earth laser communications
CailabsとEutelsatは、光通信インフラとサービスで協力する覚書を締結した。両社は、Optical Ground Station as a Serviceネットワークの一環としてEutelsatのゲートウェイ拠点にCailabsの光地上局を設置することを検討するとともに、将来のEutelsat衛星にレーザー通信端末を搭載してdirect-to-Earthの光サービスを提供する可能性も評価する。安全で強靭かつ主権的な欧州の衛星通信を強化することが狙い。
