創業の背景
Boulevard Bioは2026年8月12日にステルス状態から公表されたニューヨークの精密免疫学企業である。創業はB細胞生物学の第一人者によるもので、Deerfield ManagementがDeerfield Discovery and Development(3DC)の内部で育成した。主力のBLVD101は3DC内で発見・開発された分子である。共同創業者にはリウマチ学・免疫学の専門家Georg Schett教授と、Deerfieldのパートナーで3DCのCEOを務めるFrank Nestle氏がいる。B細胞が駆動する自己免疫疾患の患者は生涯にわたる治療を強いられており、同社は根本原因に働きかける持続的な疾患制御を目指して設立されたと説明している。
