Calpech is a spin-off of the University of Alicante based in San Vicente del Raspeig, linked to the Parque Científico de Alicante. It produces iron nanoparticles from agricultural residues, sold as additives that raise biogas output and remove hydrogen sulfide from biogas plants. In August 2026 it received an additional 400,000 euros from deeptech investor BeAble Capital, bringing BeAble's cumulative investment to 1 million euros, as part of an ongoing financing round targeting 1.4 million euros total.
