概要

CircuitHub runs software-driven automated factories for on-demand electronics manufacturing. Its Grid platform handles production runs from one to 10,000 units with automated quoting and a standard three-day turnaround, using robotics, computer vision and AI in its factory. Customers include engineering teams building self-driving cars and satellites. Headquartered in South Deerfield, Massachusetts.

創業の背景

CircuitHubは2011年にアンドリュー・セドン氏、レーノ・リンデック氏らが創業した。自社サイトによれば、従来の受託製造業者との取引で創業者が味わった不満が着想の源であり、ソフトウェアと自動化で基板をより速く、少ない誤りで届けられると考えた。Plural社の記事は、同社が約13年前にPCB設計ファイルを扱うソフトウェア層として始まり、設計者と製造業者を結ぶマーケットプレイスを経て、自社の自動化ロボットシステムに至ったと述べている。研究開発の拠点は英国ケンブリッジで、2012年にY Combinatorを経た。最初の工場は顧客に近いマサチューセッツ州に置いた。
