概要
Dronus designs and produces remotely piloted aerial systems for industrial inspection, security and monitoring. Its patented NEST system is a suspended aerial base that automates drone take-off, landing and battery recharging, enabling remotely managed operational networks that run around the clock in beyond-visual-line-of-sight scenarios without on-site personnel. The company has partnerships with Eni and Qualcomm and projects with HTX in Singapore and Ericsson's 5G Smart Factory in the US. Headquartered in Trieste.
創業の背景
Dronusは2018年にイタリアのトリエステで設立されたディープテック企業である。創業者でCEOのMarco Ballerini氏は航空宇宙エンジニアで、Northrop GrummanやSelex ESで無人機分野の要職を務め、最初の無人機会社を立ち上げて売却した経歴を持つ。同氏は20年にわたりドローンに携わるなかで、自律運用を持続的かつ拡張可能にし、設置環境に恒久的に組み込むためのインフラ層が存在しないことに気づき、それを築くために同社を創業したと説明している。2021年に500万ユーロのシード調達を行ったとしている。
