概要

Physical Superintelligence is a physics research lab building Emmy, a platform of AI-based virtual physicists that couples a reasoning engine to physics simulation in order to design and optimize physical systems and run parallel hypothesis testing. Its first commercial application is optimizing terrestrial and orbital data centers by jointly modelling power, cooling, networking and compute interactions.

創業の背景

Physical Superintelligence(PSI)は、AIを軸に据えた物理学の研究所として運営される企業である。同社は「あらゆる技術は、その土台となる物理の限界に行き着く」という問題意識を掲げ、エネルギー、放熱、材料、センシング、通信といった分野の制約を、人間の方向付けとAIによる研究で突破しようとしている。経営陣はCEOのMatthew Pines氏、チーフサイエンティストのAlex Wissner-Gross博士、プレジデントのAlex Klokus氏、CTOのAlessandro Morari博士で、ハーバード、MIT、スタンフォードや国立研究所出身を含む25名超の研究者が参加していると同社は紹介している。公益法人(PBC)として設立されている。
