Senticell is developing a liquid biopsy platform built on nucleic acids bound to red blood cells rather than cell-free DNA in plasma, technology exclusively licensed from the University of Pennsylvania. The approach exploits the roughly 30 trillion circulating red blood cells that survive about 120 days and contact every tissue, aiming to detect oncogenic driver mutations in early-stage and low-shedding tumors.
