The Exploration Company builds Nyx, a reusable, launcher-agnostic cargo capsule intended to dock with the International Space Station, and Storm, a reusable full-flow staged-combustion oxygen-methane engine for a future European heavy-lift launcher.
創業の背景
The Exploration Companyは2021年に、Hélène Huby氏と、世界の主要な宇宙計画の経験を持つ航空宇宙分野のベテランらによって設立された。同社は「人類のための宇宙船をつくる」ことを使命とし、宇宙インフラへのアクセスの障壁を下げることを目指している。現在はドイツ、フランス、ルクセンブルク、スペイン、イタリア、米国、アラブ首長国連邦で事業を展開しており、再使用型カプセルNyxと再使用型エンジンStormを軸に事業を進めている。
