GenePlanet is a Ljubljana-based genomics and laboratory platform providing genetic testing and next-generation sequencing services including prenatal, hereditary cancer and preventive genomic tests. It operates a certified pan-European laboratory platform with its central hub in Zagreb plus hubs in Sweden and Hungary, and is active in more than 50 markets. The strategic investment funds expansion into oncology and rare-disease panels and into Western European and US markets. Headquartered in Ljubljana.

創業の背景

GenePlanetはスロベニアのリュブリャナに本社を置く欧州のゲノム解析・検査プラットフォームで、創業者はMarko Bitenc氏である。2023年にBlackPeak Capitalが投資した時点では24カ国で事業を行い、ザグレブの単一ラボ拠点を中心とする遺伝子サービス事業者だった。その後3年で50を超える市場に拡大し、4件の買収を統合してスウェーデンとハンガリーに拠点を加えた。会社は創業から約18年にわたり臨床・予防ゲノム領域のサービスを広げてきたと説明されている。
