NovaGo Therapeutics, a University of Zurich-linked spinout, develops a fully human therapeutic antibody that blocks Nogo-A, a myelin protein that inhibits nerve fibre regeneration and neuroplasticity in the central nervous system. The financing funds a randomised, double-blind proof-of-concept trial in acute spinal cord injury enrolling 120 patients across Germany, Spain and Switzerland.
