Symbrosia grows Asparagopsis red seaweed in Kona, Hawaii using a two-phase process that starts with photobioreactors and finishes in open ponds. Its SeaGraze feed supplement is aimed at reducing methane emissions from cattle. The company has offtake agreements covering 700,000 head of cattle and plans a 15-acre facility on the same site.
