Waterfall Scientific develops DuoTether, a continuous-flow, cell-free system for synthesizing high-purity messenger RNA. Under the ESCALATOR project it leads a six-company consortium building an end-to-end platform that chains enzymatic DNA synthesis, RNA transcription, purification, formulation and fill-finish with automated characterization.
創業の背景
Waterfall Scientificは、mRNA医薬品の製造に残る課題、すなわちバッチ反応による品質の劣化、精製にかかる高いコストと長い期間、従来手法のスケールの難しさに取り組む企業である。経営陣には、Moderna、Tessera、ReNAgadeの元幹部であるInna Shcherbakova博士（CEO）、マサチューセッツ大学教授でT7 RNAポリメラーゼの専門家であるCraig T. Martin博士（社長兼CSO）、Victor Serebrov博士（CTO）が名を連ね、取締役会議長は元ModernaのCSOであるMelissa J. Moore博士が務めている。同社はThe Engineの2025年秋のBlueprintコホートを修了している。
