概要
Donecle develops autonomous drone systems equipped with high-resolution cameras for automated visual inspection of aircraft on the ground. The technology has been qualified by Airbus and Boeing and is used by operators including United, LATAM, DHL, Lufthansa, the French Air Force and the Royal Air Force. Founded in 2015 in Toulouse, the company raised funding to scale industrialization and expand internationally.
創業の背景
Donecleは2015年にフランス・トゥールーズで創業した。共同創業者は航空業界の実務者で、試験機の機体上部を点検する作業に直面した。一般目視点検の手順が商用航空の黎明期からほとんど変わらず、重い機材を要し作業者に危険が伴う点に課題を見いだしたという。市場の関心と技術的な実現性を確認したうえで、航空機整備、機体構造設計、ドローンロボティクス、自動化、コンピュータビジョンの知見を生かして会社を設立したと同社は説明している。共同創業者のMatthieu Claybroughが現在はCEOを務めている。
