GEVI is an Italian company that designs and manufactures smart vertical-axis micro wind turbines. Blade angle is adjusted every hundredth of a second by an AI system that analyses wind data and solves fluid-dynamics models to optimise output. The turbine has a 3 m rotor height and 5.4 m diameter, starts at wind speeds below 2.5 m/s and produces 5 kW at cruising speed, targeting self-consumption and local micro-grids. The company was accelerated by Zero, the cleantech accelerator of CDP Venture Capital's national accelerator network.
