Zadient Technologies is a French company operating at the beginning of the silicon carbide semiconductor value chain, producing the granular SiC source material from which SiC wafers and chips are fabricated, with a process combining very low production cost and very high purity. It also runs R&D on large-diameter crystal growth yield improvement. Its material feeds power electronics used in EV inverters and chargers, electric rail, wind, solar, battery storage and aerospace, with new applications explored in AR-glasses lenses and interposers for AI compute chips. Its production facility is in Bitterfeld, Germany.
